Who are we?

A society of the LSE Students Union with an elected committee of active students that is keen to provide members of the Society interesting events relating to Germany.

Who can become a member of the German Society?

See Members. Any LSE student or staff can become a voting member of the society. For all others we can offer a chance to become a "friend" of the society.

How can I become a member of the society?

The easiest way for Freshers and continuing students is to sign up at our stall at Freshers Fair at the beginning of Michelmas Term. The membership fee in the 2006 academic year is £1. It is also possible to join later at any of our events or by emailing us.

How can I get tickets for parties/events of the German Society?

Party tickets are usually available at our stall on Houghton Street at LSE. We will be there several days before the event, please see the Events section of our website for more details.

GENERAL ADMISSION
As a student society we can not give you admission specific advice. The LSE has a very good admissions website that should provide you with all necessary information.

What grades are necessary to get into LSE, what are my chances with Abitur grade xyz?

Unfortunately as a student society we can not give you admission-specific advice. Please look at the admissions website for this. We try and reply to general queries about the LSE and will try and point you in the right direction.

How much does the LSE cost?

Please look at the Undergraduate and Graduate Prospectus for figures for cost of living, out of experience these numbers are fairly accurate. Course costs are published on the LSE website and depend on the degree.

What are the application deadlines for LSE?

If you are applying for an undergraduate course, the deadline is set by UCAS, the University and Colleges Admissions Service. For postgraduate courses it depends on the particular programme of study you are interested in, please look at the LSE admissions website.
